Make your own Indoor garden
Make your own indoor garden!
You can still have your own little indoor garden!
All you need is to choose some plants you like. I suggest that you mix both colourful and green ones.
In the kitchen you can have plants with spices for cooking. Some oregano, basil and why not onions? There is also the nourishment in lentil-sprouts! all in your little kitchen herb-garden.
If you have no window - an ordinary lamp would be ok. If you can have the special lamp that is for plants - even better of course.
A beautiful wall garden - The moisture comes from the aquarium in the middle
Tom Ericsson, is a scientist in plant nourishments. He has been interested in aquariums and plants his whole life. He started to build this wall of plants 27 years ago. He observes the plants to see if they are happy where they are. If not, he moves them or exchange them.
The wall is make of sculptured cellular plastic that is painted black and lacquered. It has small cracks and holes and in these he puts the plants. He uses the kind of plants that can get hold of the surface by themselves. They even spread out by themselves.
The lamps are hidden behind a valance of styro foam covered with cork. To make the wall look more natural, he has put some beautiful branches and twigs there.
The plants are not ordinary plants. They are plants that can attach their roots directly to the wall! Examples: Orchids, ferns and lots of other plants that can grow without soil.
Nourishment they get from water trickeling via a hose from the aquarium!
